The Old House Cafe has been a treasure in Dallas. Sara has given her heart and soul to this adventure. It wasn't just a business it was like welcoming you into her home. The hospitality was exceptional.
A lovely and homey place with very good food,service,and staff. Unfortunately it was sold to College Miseracordia as one of the properties purchased as part of a new expansion project and now is CLOSED. You might try K B'S Cafe as a good alternative.
Loved the food! The prices were great. The service is so nice.
We have been going here for years but after last visit will not return. They only have one waitress on duty who never returns with coffee refills or to check if your food is good, and saw her cleaning up table to get her tip before she returned to check on her customers. Toast was cold and french toast burnt. If you cannot hire additional help, I would recommend having carafe on table for coffee refills and make sure food is hot and not burnt when served.
Have loved this place for many years. Breakfast and lunch menus have a nice variety. The prices are competitive. The service has always been exceptional. I am sorry that they are closing. That is a great loss to our community. There are not that many nice and cozy places with a home touch feel in the back mountain to grab a bite to eat. I am going to miss this establishment.
